How we use Gush on real jobs

We do not sell paint we do not use. Gush Care sits on our Essential and Signature remediation jobs as the topcoat over a Gush MouldSeal primer, once the mould has been killed and the moisture source corrected. The anti-mould additive is blended into the top coat as a standard step.

That order matters more than the brand. Paint is the last 10% of the job. Skip the treatment and the primer and any topcoat — Gush, Zinsser or otherwise — will be stained again within a monsoon season.

  • Treat the mould and correct the moisture source first
  • Prime with Gush MouldSeal on the affected surface
  • Top-coat with Gush Care or Gush Clean Care, two coats
  • Anti-mould additive blended into the top coat as standard

Common questions

How much does Gush paint cost in Singapore?

Gush Care starts at S$31 for 1L, S$101 for 5L and S$339 for 20L. Gush Clean Care starts at S$34 for 1L, S$116 for 5L and S$361 for 20L. Prices are the same across every colour in the range. Delivery is free over S$100 and a flat S$15 below that.

What is the difference between Gush Care and Gush Clean Care?

Both are anti-mould interior wall paints on the same base. Clean Care adds an air-purifying function that works on the room air, and costs a few dollars more per tin. For a bathroom or service yard, Care is enough. For a bedroom, nursery or study, Clean Care is the version we recommend.

Is Gush paint good for HDB bathrooms?

Yes, as the topcoat — but only after the mould is treated and the moisture source corrected. On our own jobs the sequence is treat, prime with Gush MouldSeal, then top-coat with Gush Care. Painting straight over live mould traps it and it grows back through within months.

Is Gush safe around babies and pets?

Gush paints are low-odour and low-VOC, which is why we specify them for nurseries and bedrooms. Ventilate while painting and until the coat is touch-dry, as with any wall paint.

How much wall does a tin cover?

Roughly 10 to 12 sqm per coat for 1L and 50 to 60 sqm per coat for 5L on a prepared surface. Plan two coats over a previously mouldy wall — a standard HDB bedroom wall usually takes one 5L tin.

Gush or Zinsser Perma-White?

Gush is far cheaper per tin and lower in odour, which makes it the right buy for bedrooms, nurseries and dry walls. Zinsser Perma-White is the tougher scrubbable eggshell for bathrooms, kitchens and service yards at S$109 for a 3.78L gallon. Our comparison page sets both out side by side.
